This week we hit up three local podcasts to talk about our new album and sing some songs. This town has the best hosts!
Tuesday we were on Funemployment Radio with Greg and Sarah, who were very gracious and professional. We played “The Lego Song” for them. You can hear it HERE.
Wednesday we started with The Karl Show! (starring Jason) which was an entire 90 minute show with us. We chose some songs that inspired us:
- Christian: “Weird Al” Yankovic – Pancreas
- Jessica: Rockapella – Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego
- Hollyanna: Shel Silverstein – Freakin’ At The Freaker’s Ball
We performed “Best In Life” and “Wheaton’s Law” for Karl and Jason. (Coming soon!)
An hour later we were back in the green room for an appearance on Geek In The City, where we talked with Aaron, Dan, and Bean about our origins, including the fact that the first PDX Broadsides performance was at the Geek In The City listener appreciation party in 2012!
We played “Everybody Dies” and “Aim To Misbehave”, plus Wood Jackson busted out an extemporaneous tune about a missing microphone. He is the worst. The show is HERE.
It’s really exciting to talk to podcasters and get comments and questions from their listeners – thanks to everyone for inviting us on!
