Last night we played the Anthemtown Artist Showcase at the White Eagle Saloon. First of all, thanks to Anthemtown’s Will West for inviting us to perform with some really inspiring artists.
At first glance, you would be hard-pressed to figure out how this disparate collection of bands would fit together, but it was surprisingly harmonious:
- Inky Shadows are a standup bass and gypsy guitar duo playing Raymond Scott-style instrumentals with sensational back stories.
- We played our brand of nerdy music
- Matthew Zeltzer sang in a crystal-clear voice about vampire truck drivers, love and loss. Incredibly quick wit.
- Rafael Krasnow blew soul at everyone, accompanied by guitar or vocal loops.
There was a lot of humor and feeling, and the crowd responded well. A couple of things happened that we’re going to wait to reveal, so suffer!
A great night, and we hope we can return to the White Eagle soon!
