This weekend we performed at Gamestorm 17 in Vancouver WA, our second year in a row. For this performance we introduced a new song, “The Girl Who Couldn’t Even”, which details the struggles that middle-class white people everywhere can identify with.
The absolute best part of the show was seeing people in the audience sing along to our songs. Even “Paranormal Helpdesk”, which we debuted at Gamestorm last year. Our fans are unstoppable!
After the show, the room was empty so we sat around and chatted for a while. As will happen, Christian took out his guitar to strum idly, and we ended up singing “Our Favorite Things”, which wasn’t in the set. By the time we had finished, we saw that people had drifted in through the open doors. Naturally, we went on to do four or five more songs, including “Wheaton’s Law” and “Everybody Dies”. Try and keep us from performing!
Many thanks to Aubrey Webber of The Doubleclicks for running excellent sound and for loaning us their PA.
A snippet of “Our Favorite Things“, featuring a cameo by Wood Jackson and his attempt to derail the whole proceedings…

I’m glad you guys were there. I was there singing along, but I had to go back to work and missed the fun after the chat time. You guys are awesome.
I will say, I was having the shittiest day until I came to see you guys. I now really want to own “The Girl Who Couldn’t Even”, because that made me laugh on a day where I ‘couldn’t even’ 😉 Is it recorded somewhere and I’ve just missed it? I couldn’t recall. <3
Thank you so much for coming to see us! A great audience makes performing even more fun. We’re glad we could make your day a little bit better.
“The Girl Who Couldn’t Even” is so new is still has the plastic on it, so it’s not available anywhere yet, but maybe we’ll do a quick video sometime and post it. Thanks for the feedback – it was a blast to do!
